Happy Birthday Diane

Today is my daughter-in-law's birthday. She is, in fact, my favorite daughter-in-law. She would be even if she weren't my only daughter-in-law. We have known her many years and I was proud to call her a friend even before she became my son's wife.

She is, as you can see, beautiful. More than that she possesses a sweet spirit and anyone who meets her can understand how my son couldn't help but become quite smitten with her. She is the mother of four girls that I am Grandma to.

I wish I could bake her a cake and give her a big hug today............... I will have to rely on my son to give her a hug for me. I am missing my kids today. I get really lonely for them on special days.

So, Diane, if you are reading this.......... Happy Birthday, hon, I love you!

You can tell she has a sweet soul from the photo.

I can only hope that I have that kind of a relationship with my son's wife...when he finds one that is up to his standards. I know what you mean by missing your family on special occasions.

How funny! August 10th is my son-in-law's birthday, and he's a real gem, too! He is a perfect match for my daughter. They get along well. He has a great personality - he's funny, laid back, and entertaining. They have a beautiful little girl named Lily. How lucky we are that our children married such wonderful people!

Do you think talking about your campers is the right thing to do? If the people from the pipe line get mad, they may leave, and you lose money? I understand the freedom of speech but I think you need the business and talking about your guest is "Just Wrong" although not illegal.
Just food for though

She looks like a real jewel. It's so nice to be friends with our in-laws, as well as having the privilege of being an in-law with them.

I thought a great del of my mother-in-law (loved her just as much as my mother) - sorry I have been away for so long # very busy at work ~ Eddie x

PS I am writing another funny communal post like the Grand National but this time a play, "The wizard of Oz" You'll be there somewhere - not thought it all out yet ~ Eddie

Hey, just catching up on your blog. I haven't had much reading time this week. Your DIL looks so sweet and it sounds like you have a great relationship-so rare with in-laws it seems. I hope Anonymous does not discourage you with your posts. You never give specifics so it's not like we would have any idea who these people are. I always find it interesting to see how you handle situations. Plus, it's your blog....you can vent if you want!
