All day long I am asked the same questions. Children are excited and I am happily preparing everything for the big event. The helium filled balloons are readied by love of my life while Pat, the methodical genius, bags the popcorn.
It rained buckets last night, making the banner I hung over the entrance look pretty sad as it sags low. Spirits are still high, though and I find myself looking forward to the celebration. The skies are threatening to ruin the event as we start to eat our dinner. We did get a shower that cooled us off and made the night quite pleasant.
I tried to capture some good shots............ I really did. This was the best of the batch and doesn't do justice to the actual display.
Sparklers and children with popsicles and happy chaos. I wish I had been able to capture it all. We received many compliments and thank yous that make our job worthwhile. We couldn't do it with the help from our friends, though. Big, big thanks to Pat and Deb. We missed Bob and Karen tremendously. These two couples take up all the slack we are unable to fill ourselves. They keep picking us up over and over and we are so thankful for them!

I enjoyed getting a "picture" of how you live and work!
It sounds like you have a real nice campground, and believe me, I KNOW, after spending four years and counting on the road! Did you guys, yourselves, do fireworks or did everyone go into town? I like the balloons and popcorn.
It rained here all day, but finally cleared up enough late in the day. We didn't go see the fireworks display, though, because our granddaughter is only 5 1/2 months and it was past her bedtime. Plus it would have scared the bejesus out of her!
Elise-I really wanted to get shots of the children and their little faces during the fireworks, but the previous post explains that...
Pat-Yes, we did the fireworks. We enjoy hosting events for our campers and most of them appreciate it. You must stop in to see us if you find yourself close by! I will make popcorn just for you! A balloon....maybe.
I think you did a fabulous job! I don't think this is something that most campground owners would bother with. I hope you enjoyed it at least a little bit. Sorry that idiot ruined it.
I would be living in that wonderful pool. It looks so inviting.
What a grand time you all must have had.
Belated Happy 4th July to you.
Thanks for all your wonderful comments too BTW.
We had Hotels, so I know how difficult it can be at times, dealing with the Public. There is always one ass who ruins things.
