My dad had told me to purchase a bar soap that was used for laundry purposes. He said my Grandmom would make him bathe with this soap to prevent and help clear up poison ivy. I had searched for this soap and could not find it under the name he had given me. I did happen upon a bar of Fels Naptha soap in the laundry detergent aisle on a trip to WalMart. Figured it had to be very similar to the other and bought it. For a mere 97 cents. I have been using it since the last out break. It won't make the rash disappear, but it does keep it from spreading. It makes you feel squeaky clean. The only drawback is the dry skin, but that can't be helped until the rash is gone. It has occurred to me that I mention WalMart often enough to be paid!
So, I awoke this morning feeling a lot less itchy and ready to get going on my chores. I prepared the mop bucket and quickly mopped my living quarters, changed the water and moved on to the store. I was ahead of schedule and was thinking about doing a little rearranging of some merchandise. It was then, while totally distracted, that it happened. My right foot slipped and I went down on my left knee. Still holding on to the mop and trying to catch myself, the mop slid away from me and the handle whacked me in the head while my right foot slid out in front of me and my left leg, bent at the knee, went behind me. I did a split! First thing I did was to look around and out the window to make sure no one witnessed this amazing feat. Then I managed to pull myself into a sitting position to access the damage. My knee was a little bloody. That's all that is visible. I thanked the good Lord for my good fortune ....... since He knows I don't have health insurance. I am sore from stretching all those muscles, but I did a split! You may laugh now ............
Frustration? The frustration is with blogger. I can comment on some of the blogs I follow, but some just keep asking me to re enter my e-mail address and password. When I do, the comment disappears. Very frustrating. I am open to suggestion .........

Okay. I held my laughter until you gave me permission to laugh; then I let out a big guffaw! It was a Kodak moment without a camera! Darn it!
As far as Blogger goes...many, many people are experiencing the same problem that you are having. Some people say that it helps to sign out, then sign back in. I always copy my comments (hit control A (for all), then control C(for copy). If the comment doesn't take, I just have to hit control V (for paste) and my comment is back. Usually the second time it works.
I've had the same problem with blogger too. Thing that has worked for me is to NOT check the keep me signed in box when I sign in. Sounds goofy, but I kept getting the same sign-in page over and over, very frustrating. The other thing I've done is sign in using the Name/URL option and put my blog URL in that line.
Doing the splits [at our age] when no one is around is like getting a hole in one on the golf course with no one to see you! heehee Who would believe it? [I DO believe you btw, just glad you are okay.]
Fels Napa is da' bomb! And it is fabulous in homemade laundry detergent - we can't get it here, so we use Ivory instead, but when we could I just love it. Thanks for the heads up on the poison oak remedy.
The only thing I can suggest is try commenting under anonymous and then writing your name in your comment - we'll know it's you. Hugs to you. :D
Now, the splits. You are a woman of many talents!
Blogger pulled that disappearing comment trick on me, and for lack of a better idea, I hit the refresh button, and the comment reappeared and let me enter it.
ouch on the split...glad you are ok...
the comment solution...sign out...go into your IE or Firefox and delete the cookies....sign back in, you should be good to go...if not email me and i have a bit more complicated solution...
If you'd caught that on video, you could be all over the internet by now with that feat of athleticism! Maybe it's for the best that nobody saw it! lol
I have heard of a lot of people having that problem. From what I've read, it has to do with the comment setting that people have on their blogs. They need to reset it and change it from their menu and it solves the problem. It all goes back to the big meltdown they had a while back!
you poor thing! ouch!!! i'm afraid if i did the splits, i'd never get up off the floor - it would not be pretty.
i had to uncheck the box to keep myself logged in which is a pain in the rear but seems to work. the ones i have the most problem with are the ones that don't have the comment window pop out of the blog (does that make sense?).
Wow! I'm glad you're okay. I'm betting the grandkids would have been impressed.
Poor you! I bet you'll have some sore muscles tomorrow to go with that skinned knee.
sometimes when I click on the 'comment' button it will give me a window saying I need to log in when I already am. I just click the back button and then click on the comment button again and it will give me the comment window then.
I've been having the same problem with leaving comments on Wall-E's blog, I've not been able to leave one for a couple of weeks now. I read that it has to do with the comment setting, you've got to go under the comments in settings and change the comment form to pop up window instead of embedded below post. A couple of bloggers have done this and it has cleared up the problem. It won't help you with leaving comments on other blogs, but hopefully the word will get out to everyone!
