Monkeying Around

My sweet granddaughter loves sock monkeys........ and I love her. While we were shopping she found these socks. So, I made some monkeys.
Knee socks work best for long legs and arms. I like the hot pink and red. I added some sculpted toes and "fingers".

The two red ones will be finding their way to Minnesota and I have 10 more in the making. It has been fun watching their personalities emerge as I sew on the faces. More fun will be seeing my granddaughters faces when they get their monkeys.

Your granddaughter has great taste in knee socks - these are so cool.

You should sell them - I have never seen any THIS cute. :)

Oh Kathy! Those are adorable and so very professional looking. I'm quite surprised you can do this. I'm hopeless with a needle and thread, you know. Wish you could teach me...

Well, aren't you a clever little monkey!

I know they came from socks (because you told us so) but I'll be damned if I can see a sock in there at all.

Those are wonderful creations. They turned out so nice. Did you have a pattern? It looks like something I would like to try and my granddaughter would enjpy them too.

Those are adorable! I bought Alexander and Kaitlyn sock monkeys for Christmas but they're not nearly as adorable as these. Yes, you need to set up a shop and I'll buy one from you. I like the red one in the bottom picture, too. Actually, I like them all.

Great job! I can't sew at all. If I can't glue it, tape it, or staple it - I can't do it.

Hello Kathy
I've never seen these before, is it a craft peculiar to your area?
Could I find instructions on the web maybe? they look like fun companions for kids.
Take care
Cathy
