Spam

Spam. Not the delicacy one finds in a can on the grocery shelves (never in my pantry). I am speaking (writing) of spam comments. Do you ever read them? I do, from time to time. Some are written in other languages and all are "anonymous". Most of them don't really make sense and have nothing to do with the content of the particular post they are connected to.

Sometimes I will find one that a new blogger has written and for some reason comes up as anonymous. So, when I am bored I will take a peek, then delete them. Today I pulled them up and one caught my eye.

Anonymous told me that they liked my content, however, they found it to be "rife with spelling errors". I can't say why, but this annoyed me ..... a lot. So much so, that I am writing this.

Interesting. Maybe it's that they can't spell themselves because I never notice any spelling errors on your blog and find your writing to be very grammatically correct and well presented in every aspect. But hey, what the hell do I know?? ;)

I never notice any spelling errors. I don't allow comments from anonymous so I don't get much comment spam. As soon as I see it it gets deleted. Especially I'd they post a link in their comment.

'If'. If they post a link. I really hate auto correct.

Oh, dear. Must have been shilling for a spell check program.

Your posts are rife with good humor, irony, and tender moments. Keep up the good work.

That comment must have been from one of the disgruntled ne'er-do-wells that you turned away from your campground. I would have spelled that with a "k" but I did not want to be accused of a spelling error.

Some spammers ramble, toss out a zinger and hope to hook you by making you angry enough to respond. YOU know the truth, so hit delete. I always enjoy your posts.
