forecast ............ more snow ............

We moved south in an attempt to avoid using this snow shovel. We sold our snow mobiles and snow thrower and packed away our snow bibs and puffy jackets. We kept this shovel for those light snowfalls so we could sort of push it along the sidewalk ........

White out conditions closed the interstate. Okay, it is beautiful.

But, come on, it is not supposed to snow like this here. Really, they promised. Yeah, but they also promised this to be a turn-key operation and that wasn't true ......

This is mid-morning on day one of the 2011 Blizzard.

Next morning the sun is out and the temperature has dropped. But, the wind has settled down. Newscasters are telling every one to stay home ............... okay with me.

We did have a nice stack of wood on the front porch. There still is a good bit of wood ........ under the snow. Just gotta dig it out.
Depending on which network you listen to, we are supposed to get more snow either tonight or tomorrow. Oh, goody.

Gosh darn that Global Warming! I would trade you my two inches of sleet for your winter wonderland, but I'm using it to get a six-day weekend. Or more, if that forecast pans out.

Which reminds me, I am running low on bread and milk.

I am happy that the blizzard missed us here, even though we did have some ice. They are calling for snow tonight into tomorrow here too and then again Sunday night. Sigh, I'm tired of snow....

Wow!! It is beautiful..but I guess snow sometimes can be the devil in sheeps clothing..lol. We even had some snow in Austin, Texas which is a rare treat for us southern folk. :-)

Yeah, I heard we might get another eight inches. I cannot begin to express my joy over this prospect.

The snow is getting really annoying for us too...but I can imagine if you gave away all your snow stuff it would be even more annoying for you!!!! Good luck. Put a log on the fire, a movie on the tv and cuddle up! The groundhog didn't see his shadow so there is hope!

Aren't you in Missouri? I think of Missouri as one of those states that gets snow. I'm having trouble believing Texas got snow. Of all places, that seems really silly. As for me, it's absolutely gorgeous in San Francisco. We had 75 degrees today. Perhaps you need to come a bit farther west?
