Have It Your Way?

I think I have cabin fever. I am cranky and achy and just want to be plain mean to every one. I have so many things to do today. I need to put the finishing touches on the skirts for my little grand girls and get them packed along with enough clothes for my week with them. I am leaving Saturday to head north. The weather is supposed to be spring like in my absence, causing one particular camper to opine that I should head north more often.

I went to WalMart today. Had to pick up the RX for he who has high cholesterol. Also had to buy underwear for me. I will be gone eight days. I don't have that many panties. I know I can wash my clothes while I am there, but I think I deserve more panties ........ As luck would have it, Fruit of the Loom had a 10 pack on sale! We were also out of Jif peanut butter and that is a tragedy in the making for he who will have to prepare his own food while I am gone.

Since it was well past lunch time and the Burger King was pushing Whoppers, he who loves beef pulled into the drive-thru. He ordered and I distinctly heard him say "no onions". I don't like onions. I should say, raw onions, on my burger. He does, but thought it best to keep the order as simple as possible, since they usually get it wrong. He is thoughtful, this man I am married to. We get the order and maneuver back onto the road and head onto the interstate, with the nice warm bag in my lap and the smell of french fries filling my little car. I open the burgers and neatly pull back the paper so he who is driving can eat. Then I get mine out and open it. What do I see hanging out? Is that just a piece of lettuce. I lick it. Onion. I pull back the top of the bun and see all the onion. To go back we would have to go to the next exit and double back, so I just pick all the onion off as I hum the old theme song............... 'Hold the pickles, hold the lettuce, special orders don't upset us' 'Have it your way, have it your way'. Whatever.

we actually turned out heater off yesterday and just now turned it back on. One more cold front headed out way this week but they are saying it may be the last.

Must be something in the air. I'm cranky and irritable too...maybe I just need some new panties..lol

As far as the burger, I learned a long time ago it was pointless to special order anything at a fast food establishment. I just pick off all I don't want on it and it makes my life much simpler than the anger I would get when they got my order wrong.

My sons always has special orders when we go to fast food hamburger joints. They do it because they know they'll get a 'fresh' one vs one that has been sitting there awhile. I tell then they don't know that they just picked it off one already made.
Have fun on your trip knowing that spring is next month!

You deserve a trip away! I hope it all goes well for you, and know you will enjoy the grandchildren.
I bought myself a bargain pack of knickers at a large chainstore here- my daughter bought the smaller size. They must have been made in China as they were strictly for very small bottoms! I gave mine to my daughter! She couldnt wear hers either.

Hope you have a fantastic trip. If you are travelling anywhere near our neck of the woods and need ANYTHING don't hesitate to get a hold of us.

I laughed at the camper who said you should travel north more often. It figures you are leaving and NOW it gets warm. Ah, such is life.

Have a great time and please post pics of those gorgeous grandkids. YAY!

Buying new panties - now that should pick up your spirits and get you out of the cabin fever doldrums:) If only it was so easy. I am having the same ill effects of winter - can't get past the blah. LOL -Maybe I should go out and buy some new panties too. We could have a panty party. That might be a fun way to jolt us out of our crankiness.

I'm sure you'll have a great time on your trip, once you actually get gone. My husband always has a special order and I've learned to check the order before I leave.

crankiness is in the air. i am very cranky. i went to bed at 7:30 last night just so i wouldn't have to pretend to not be cranky. i was also tired so that helped.
