Do Spirits Wander ........ I Wonder

I awake with a start, my mouth closed, yet my jaw is hinged open. The dream hangs in the air, like dust particles, impossible to reassemble. I concentrate on the white noise of the machine that filters the air trying to re-enter the dream. Too late. I am awake and my mind is wandering to the air filter to wonder if the dream might be trapped inside.

As I sip my coffee I try to evaluate my state of mind. I feel disturbed and a little angry. It was the dream. I don't know how I know that, but I do. "Mother, are you here?" I say it aloud. She does not answer, she is hiding. Maybe she is trapped with the dream in the filter.

Do I believe in Spirits? Do you?

I'm not really sure. A year ago I would have said no, but now I don't know.

I feel that my mother comes and visits me all the time in my dreams.

I believe. Too many weird things happen around my house, and at one of the places I worked. Plus I saw that headless man in a suit in my basement a few years back.

I have dreams about my dad and my grandma, but it's not like they're communicating with me. They seem to do that when I'm awake, through sounds and smells.

Oh yes, without a doubt.

I don't really believe but sometimes things happen that make me wonder. I'd give anything to see my mother again, even just for half an hour. X

Indeed I do. I have had too many incidents happen in my home that have no other explanation other than spirits. Just this weekend a lid came off of one of my candy dishes and hit the floor...with absolutely no one around it.....no one was in the room....it was very strange...we all agreed no logical explanation as to how that could have happened. No one has touched that candy dish in months!! Yes...I believe very much so.

Well Kathy, I do. For whatever reason, I certainly do believe.

I used to have the most horrific dreams of my first husband and our kids.
Then he died.
I haven't seen him in a dream since.

So, I don't know.

I wish they existed because I am sure my best friend would've stayed around and been with me through all the tough times. It has been 25 years and I have never "felt" him.

I wish I could.

One 400+ mile day of driving when I was taking the second half of the driving chores in the pouring rain I pulled into the campground where I had planned to stay for the night only to discover it was out of business. We're in the middle of nowhere, South Dakota, in the pouring rain, Denny is not being helpful in trying to check the GPS for another campground so I asked my mom where she was because I needed her as I headed east down the highway. It was still raining hard but directly in front of me a small portion of the sky opened up and a fragment of a rainbow appeared and stayed there until I found a campground twenty miles down the road. Yep, I believe.

I didn't used to believe it was possible, but after losing Piper last summer and still hearing all those familiar noises he used to make around the house even after he was gone, I wonder now if it isn't a possibility.

We have spoken about this many times, you and I.

I am just glad that I have the opportunity to spend time with mom and dad now. It is something special that everyone doesn't have the privilege to be able to do.

I am thankful--usually! ;-D
